THE RESURRECTION

On Holy Thursday Night, we decorate Epitaphs. According to traditions, young unmarried girls decorate Epitaph with handmade flowers. On Holy Friday Night, you can enjoy your coffee at the balcony overlooking Mount Olympus, and attend the Epitaphs from three parishes of Ag. Nikolaos, Ag. Dimitrios and Ag. Georgios that meet uphill the Old Market (street fair) after wandering through the near streets with a subsequent joint church service accompanied by male choirs, creating an evocative atmosphere. It should also be noted, that there is an informal competition among the choirs of the three parishes.
